When the Infinites forged Nerasa from the stellar nursery of the Permanence, the prospect was bright and endless – a paradise world, crafted by the caring hands of the best of their divine caste, and destined to be greatest of their creations. But every story of pride has its fall.
When the whims and fancies of its creators fell upon each other, the utopian world of Nerasa was caught in the middle of a dispute of divine proportions that culminated in its very destruction; its once lush terrains and fantastical civilizations shattered into dust and abandoned by its very creators.
But that was not to be its end, for on the remnant fragments of that broken world life continued on. Rife with the magics of its creation and destruction both, the shattered world would become the nursery not to divine whim, but to the testament and willpower of mortals. Rising from the ashes, these Shards would become the homes to a myriad of new peoples – ignorant to the ambitions of the Infinites, and driven only by their own resolve.
From the unified species of the Accord who seek to explore and understand their world, to the independent Freehold Collective that would rather eek out riches, to the mysterious Sorrows that lurk at the perimeter, peoples of varied species and creeds fill the Shards with ambition, drive, and a future to behold.
These people enter a fascinating time, now. Sailing aboard ships designed for the span between them, adventurers take to the shards seeking adventure and the unknown. Uncovering new peoples, lost civilizations and untold sources of magic and mystery – the Shards of Nerasa are ripe with opportunity, magic, and the potential for adventure.
Welcome to the Shards of Nerasa. The world may be shattered, but the people who live among the remains are anything but.
A System Agnostic Setting
The Shards of Nerasa is a setting designed without a particular ruleset or game framework in mind. That doesn’t mean, however, that it is simply a Setting Book. Instead, we’ve gone to lengths to create Ruleset Guides that adapt the setting to a number of the industry’s most popular settings – as well as a number of more independent and flexible systems.

Community Managed Wiki
Beyond our structured guides, we also have an extensive and private (meaning, ad free) wiki that is managed by members of our community. This includes information that’s not in the guides, and might have been encountered in official campaigns!
