In a fringeward town, a band of heroes wielding magical weapons face down twisted creatures as they emerge from the darkness. Their weapons glow with the power of intention and emotion made manifest, as they strike down monsters of tangible dread and protect terrified denizens that would otherwise be at the mercy of wicked beasts.

In the depths of an unknown Shard, a group of adventurers delve into a once-sealed ancient ruin, seeking answers to the unknown and perhaps a few extra Marks in their pockets. As ancient Caretaker defenses thrum to life, the rogues dash down the once resplendent corridors towards the safety of their ship – only to flee back into the Span in search of new adventure.

In the bustling markets of the Kezve’ta, a keen eyed merchant surveys a collection of disparate goods. The sulking, cagey freebooter has their eyes anywhere but on the items they’re clearly trying to unload. The merchant knowingly rakes the otherworldly smuggler over the coals, squeezing every last coin out of them before sending them back onto the shadows and away from the watchful guards.

Home to heroes, adventurers, and scoundrels of all shapes and sizes, Nerasa is a rich, diverse and broken world. The Shards provide opportunity for heroes to flourish and excel, and for the opportune to find wealth and adventure – if they know where to look.

Welcome to the Shards of Nerasa. The world may be shattered, but the people who live among the remains are anything but.

A System Agnostic Setting

The Shards of Nerasa is a setting designed without a particular ruleset or game framework in mind. That doesn’t mean, however, that it is simply a Setting Book. Instead, we’ve gone to lengths to create Ruleset Guides that adapt the setting to a number of the industry’s most popular settings – as well as a number of more independent and flexible systems.

Community Managed Wiki

Beyond our structured guides, we also have an extensive and private (meaning, ad free) wiki that is managed by members of our community. This includes information that’s not in the guides, and might have been encountered in official campaigns!
